Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, called "the most famous rabbi in America" by The Washington Post and Newsweek, is one of the world's most recognizable voices on values, spirituality, and relationships. He is an international bestselling author whose books, including the bestseller Kosher Sex, have been translated into many languages.
Born in Los Angeles and ordained by the Chabad-Lubavitch movement, Rabbi Shmuley served for eleven years as rabbi at Oxford University, where he founded the L'Chaim Society. He went on to host the award-winning TLC series Shalom in the Home, along with nationally syndicated radio programs, and is a frequent guest on major television and radio shows. He has received The London Times Preacher of the Year Award and the American Jewish Press Association's highest award for excellence in commentary.
Rabbi Shmuley is the founder of the World Values Network, which works to bring universal Jewish values into mainstream culture, and he is widely known as a passionate defender of Israel in public debates around the world. His books with Gefen Publishing House include Kosher Jesus, The Israel Warrior, and the three-volume Slager Edition of his works on Jewish thought. He lives in the New York area with his family.
