Until his retirement in 1989 he was director of the Fibiger CancerInstitute in Copenhagen. A survivor of PortaWestphalica, he has published extensively on the stress-related disorder kz concentration camp Syndrome.This is his fourth book about the occupation of Denmark in the Second World War.
