This is the story of Tula Krakowski. A story of survival and triumph. His story covers his life from the time of his happy, fun-filled childhood in glorious Vienna, through the Soviet and Nazi occupations, living in the Ghetto, fighting with the Partisans, medical studies in Poland and Geneva, to raising a family and his professional advancement in Israel.

Tula Karkowsky was born in Vilna on Janary 24, 1924 to Esther and Aharon Krakowsky. In 1943 his family was murdered in Ponar? Forest. In 1955, after completing his medical studies, he arrived in Israel with his wife Nechama where boworked as doctors in Tel Hashomer hospital. Professor Karkowsky served as head of the dermatology department in Ichilov hospital. He passed away in December 2003 shortly after his 80th birthday.
