Born in Germany to an assimilated family, Naomi Frenkel arrived in Israel at the beginning of the Nazi era. She received the Rupin and Ushisskin award for her book ‘Shaul and Yohanna’, as well as the Prime Minister’s award and the Sweimer award, and an International Scholarship in the name of Anne Frank.
